1. GREEN SCREEN SHOOTING
Place your talent in front of your green/blue screen and record footage of them. For best results, shoot with a high definition camera, light the background fully and evenly, and have your talent be several steps in front of the chroma key backdrop to avoid shadows and color spill.
2. IMPORT YOUR FOOTAGE
Import your footage from your camera to your computer. Our studios are designed to work with nearly any editing software that is capable of green/chroma key removal. We recommend using Adobe Premiere, Premiere Elements, Final Cut, Final Cut Express, Sony Vegas, Video Toaster, Adobe After Effects or Wirecast (which can handle live green screen removal).
3. EDITING
Once your footage is imported, place your green screen/talent footage on the top layer of your editing timeline. On the next layer, place your virtual studio backdrop. If the background you purchased is a loop, you can place the video end to end on your timeline for as long as you need your background footage displayed. If your footage has an animated monitor, simply cut the middle portion of your animation and place back to back with fades in between to create a longer background animation.
4. APPLY CHROMA KEY
In your video editing software, apply a chroma key effect to your green screen/talent layer. Adjust your chroma key settings to reveal the virtual studio layer underneath.
